  • is a city of history. While some might say that its recent past (World War II) does not reflect well upon its present state as an international hub for finance and fashion, one must remember that this country has also done much good in recent years—most notably reunification after decades of separation caused by Cold War politics between East Berlin (German Democratic Republic) and West Berlin (Federal Republic). This reunification marks an important time in German history when they decided not only to remain together as one nation but also strive toward becoming more culturally liberal than ever before—as evidenced by their acceptance into NATO just four years later! Today there are still many reminders throughout Berlin that show how this country has grown up since then; however, don’t let it scare you away; these relics provide valuable insight into why today’s Germans are so accepting towards new cultures coming into their own country every year!
